Unleashing a new set of works dubbed "Answer In The
Form Of A Question" at the Finale Art File, Jayson
Oliveria once again disrupts the surface of the
perfunctory canvas and transforms it into a tectonic
minefield where pure visual conceits collide. It is at
these unpremeditated junctures of line, color, text
and the occasional full-bodied figures where
metaphors crouch embryonic, urging the viewer to
dispose his tenuous notions of meaning-making and
shaking him awake to the stillborn realities
multi-layering the contemporary world and art. More
process than a finished product, more conflict than
conclusion, each work interferes with our pursuit of
singularity and posits that questions, after all, are
best left unanswered.
