Opened on Dec. 8 at the Tall Gallery of Finale Art File is Liv Romualdez-Vinluan’s “No Earthly Lord Will Bleed You Dry.” The show features large-scale paintings and an installation—a resin menagerie that attempts to mirror the concept of the “survival of the fittest,” the society and its dynamics and relationships and the argument that man, despite his ability to govern and his role as prime steward, is just another animal in the kingdom. As an examination of the human will in the midst of catastrophe, and the relentless search of man for Paradise , the exhibit asserts that catastrophe brings out the best (and the worst) in people, echoing a line from the 1982 film, Oro Plata Mata: "Naging hayop na’ng lahat sa atin. Ang digmaang ito, gnawing hayop tayong lahat, Naty!"
