On view until Oct. 29 at the Tall Gallery of Finale Art File is "Recent Works," a collaborative exhibit by husband and wife Soler and Mona Santos. In the works of Soler, stones are shadowed and ravaged, primordial composites of earth disturbed by diluted drips to simulate water. Known for her luscious depiction of flowers, Mona follows her abiding theme and lets bloom the richest and the subtlest of hues. In some canvases, these images actually meet in the the form of panels, providing an intermittent shift from the elemental to transcendental. Together, their works rise into artistic duet in praise of the natural world--with its savage and exquisite qualities.
