On view until Feb. 28 at the Tall Gallery of Finale Art File (Warehouse 17, La Fuerza Compound, Gate 1, 2241 Pasong Tamo, Makati City) is the group show, "In Fairness Art Exposition." The artists that compose the roster are: Israel Remo, Jobi Guanzon, Robert Langenegger and Pow Martinez. As a satirical commentary on the art scene, the exhibit seeks to re-frame the ongoing notion of art as benevolent, presenting instead its multitudinous dangers, its immense capacity for disruption and its innate ability to cause discomfort. In a sense, the exhibit liberates art from its pretty package and presents its awesome, and sometimes violent, force that compels us to stop, look and listen.
